This is the first time I'm happy with humming bird photos I've taken and I've been trying for a very long time. I was walking through Kissena Park here in New York City when I found a group of photographers all with there lenses pointed in the same direction and some were sitting in chairs. I asked what was happening and they said that humming birds were frequenting one bush on the way to the Chesnutt Tree behind them. I joined them for a while capturing the first images and then continued my walk and as I passed there location a hummingbird flew from the bush to the tree and I captured the environmental images.
Nice Morris. Those little guys are very difficult to shoot. I'm fond of #1. I have never had much luck with Humming birds except when in Costa Rica one are there were so many even I got a few.

Very nice set, Morris. If I've to pick a few I will go with 1, 2 and 3. If you can crop #3 a bit more it will look even better IMO.
Shibu
Thank you Shibu,
I think 3 would start to break up as it's already a crop

Beautiful set of pics Morris! I love the soft natural light and setting.
Thank you Rolando,
I was shooting in light fog. Today I tried flash in the fog, some good some meh, and one stellar

Lovely photos, great that you saw the hummingbirds with a lot of iridescence in their gorgets.
Thank you Shirley,
I agree and it was great that the males kept coming to the spot I was watching

Thank you Roberta,
I never knew they migrate through in the spring. I'm having a blast! I hope some show up. It might have been the storms and could take some time for numbers to rebound
