Wow Mike those are beautiful shots. Such creamy clean backgrounds. Those little guys are quite colourful, I was not expecting that. They are all really nice, #3 really cute.
Mike, those are just lovely images and not only of one but two weasels! I know they are difficult to photograph, especially at that low angle. I believe I know where you scored those images . Are these fairly recent images?
Well there is something we don't see here often and you really made the best of them. Cute little critters and your low POV made great impact. A real treat to view, thanks for sharing.
Yeah, the low angle just melted everything away but a few inches of depth of field. In contrast, I shot a couple from a tripod in the ground level shooting position (approximately 5-6 inches off the ground) and it was significantly different in perspective. I've always known that perspective matters, but I didn't think the 5-6 inch height difference would be that stark in perspective, but it definitely was. When your subject has an eye level of 2-3 inches, you've got to match it.

Thanks Dave, and yes, they are super cute and very complimentary in color to the grass so it really helps them pop.

Thanks Joshua, yes these were shot over the weekend and last week, but the little guys have been moving around searching for better gopher fields, I imagine.

Great Mike. Love the third

Thanks Morris, that one definitely has an appeal with the overall mood of the shot and the interaction of the two (which I believe was mother and child).
