What is up with the nose rings these days? Is this just some trendy, fad or making some sort of statement? I'm seeing this more and more and was just curious.
Derek, nice shots! They’re all well done and have good light and poses. My favorite is #4, it’s the most creative and the use of the mirror creates a bit more interest than the others, at least by my tastes!

MRM, some might consider piercings a trend. I started seeing them when I was I college in the early 70’s. They’ve evolved over the years in this country but of course they’ve been used all over the world by many cultures for tens of 1000’s of years, so certainly it new!
As for a statement, a lot of women don’t want to be identified as vanilla, so different degrees of ornamentation can serve to dispel that.
