What’s the point of the unlock latch on the hood when all you have to do is twist the hood a bit and it becomes unlock anyways? I thought I broke this unlock mechanism on the hood that I can just twist it to unlock but after watching Matt Granger’s video, he did the same thing.
Anyone else getting their 800pf recently? I’ve been enjoying this lens through and through and hope to see more people showing images from it.

I haven't gotten mine yet. Hopefully soon. A friend let me try out his 800PF on my camera when we were out together shooting. I only took about 10 images with it but I wanted to put it to the extreme scenario. This was ABSOLUTELY insane.
This was shot 800PF+1.4 TC+DX crop mode for 1680mm THEN cropped 100% 1/1000 f9 ISO1000 Auto Area AF mode at roughly 75-100 yards (forgot to make a mental note so just by memory) and hand held. Ran through Topaz Denoise AI in standard model Auto

It took a week to cull the shots from our trip to Florida.
My poor old 2015 iMac is struggling now with this many Z9 images. :-/
This was shot from a boat, just as the sun was coming up. We were actually pulled into a dark marshy wooded area. Not sure if you can see it in the posted image, but you can see the reflection of the lake in this Barred Owls right pupil.
