While planning a trip to the North Shore of Quebec, I decided to look at the photos from last year and found a bunch of unprocessed files. Here is a dozen of these new old photos; can't wait to go to the Côte-Nord again!
A striking set of images of a striking species. With the fabulous flight shots and the amusing first image, I am surprised that I'm most drawn to image 5 with the lone purple flower somehow providing a different kind of environmental context that is pleasing.

Great discovery Vladimir. There all excellent. You might want to try keeping a folder of projects to process. Glad you found these and shared them as it was a joy to view them

Thank you, Bruce! I have a friend who desperately wants a picture of a puffin with a purple flower. He photographed puffins in Iceland and searched all over for this photo op but no luck there. He is coming with me to the North Shore as I promised him that he'll get his shot there.
Great Puffin photos! One of the highlights of my Iceland trip was the time spent photographing them. Just out of curiosity, where in Quebec did you take them? Was it in Mingan Archipelago National Park? Thinking about a road trip this summer (live just North of Boston) and this was one of the many options I was thinking about for the bird watching/photographing opportunities.

Vladimir, I am so happy for you, but at the same time, dying of jealousy . what a lovely series. I like the light on #4. voted.
Thank you very much, KD!! Just to make you hate me even more, another purpose of the trip is to photograph red-throated loons with tiny babies. They are nesting in that area and we timed the trip so that the babies would be at their cutest.

Thank you, Morris!! With trips like this one, you come back with so many files that you can keep some of them for later and then relive the trip without leaving the house.

Thank you, John! Yes, that's the place. Aside from bird photography, that area is insanely beautiful - well worth the trip!
