Beautiful shots! Never been to Zion but on the list. My son in law and I drove past the entrance but we had a list of other things to see and go to. And we were under orders from my better half not to go without her!
Thanks @AZHeaven! It’s a worthy destination. My only misgiving is how the crowds have increased so much in the social media era. Autumn is now a circus. This is my 2nd year doing a winter trip and so much more manageable with cars and people in Jan/Feb, but still surprisingly busy especially weekends.

I love your excitement and enthusiasm, Ross! And I love all of your images, too! I agree with you that Zion is a special place. My favorite is Temple of Sinawava, but all are exceptional images! Congratulations!!!

In September my son in law and I camped at Point Sublime on the North Rim, a 90 min drive from the main road. Oh, and if anyone reading this needs directions let me know. Because there is 2 ways in. The way we took on the way in was rough. The other way we took on the way out was like a dream road compared! . Anyway...
We drove from the North Rim to House Rock Valley Rd. to Wire Pass. Something I would rather do in winter or fall. Left there and drove Cottonwood Canyon Rd. My point here is one would need at least 7 days if not more to explore Bryce and Zion and Cottonwood Canyon. We drove past Bryce and went to Mammoth Cave. Ate lunch at Aunt Sues Chalet, go hungry! Then on to Kanab to Cutler Point. Cutler Point I would like to go back to just to explore more. We only did the one amphitheater. We ran out of time. Long story about that as we were going to camp there.
The point of my response was to show the other areas of interest in that area.

Exactly AZHeaven, those are all great locations, along with dozens of others in that area. I’m blessed to have 3 months or so per year for exploring the Southwest and much of that is spent in southern UT. Last year when I arrived at the Wire Pass trailhead the parking lot was packed full, a sight I never saw when I first started going there 22 years ago - back then it would be me and perhaps one or two other vehicles. I usually spend two weeks straight working Cottonwood Canyon Rd. and have my spots where I am in total solitude.
And yet, despite Zion’s popularity, it remains a very special place for me, for many reasons. I’m always grateful for my time there.

Wow! Great set, love how the sum of your images captures the area and if I had to pick only one to hang on the wall it would be the fortress at sunset for its uniqueness and mood.
