In an effort to hit the 25 post requirement, I'm sharing a photo of a Volcano in Guatemala I took in 2015. The volcano is called "Fuego" and I took the photo from an adjacent dormant volcano called Acatenango. I was at about 4000m elevation when the photo was taken at 11pm.
I can't see the picture either. However I did copy the link to the picture by right clicking on the image icon and pasting the link into a new browser tab.
Great shot. I was not expecting to see stars in the photo. Very well done.
At 21mm that is close!! I'm guessing Fuego is historically known for its flowing and not explosive eruptions? Glad you survived the experience and you got a fantastic pic - but the risk factor is off the charts.
Thank you everyone! Yes, it’s quite the hike to roughly 4000m. The volcano is also more prone to activity vs other volcanos that are more of a “one and done” kinda thing. Although a week or so prior to this photo they closed the airport in Guatemala due to the eruptions being larger than normal.
I was super lucky to see it with no cloud cover and get the stars in the image.
Again, thanks for the comments everyone! Looks like next step is figuring out why my site isn’t loading on certain browsers.

It’s not terribly uncommon to hike up. I hired a guide who took me to the summit. Me in my north face hiking boots, him in 20 year old penny loafers with no grip 🤣
It’s a long hike, but also not too dangerous if you’re dressed for the cold properly and as long as there’s not a major eruption.
