Here are a few pics from my trips to Guadalupe Island in Mexico to cage dive with Great Whites. People think well there is no danger if cage diving, well there still is. I have seen it where a Great White got into a cage it was complete mayhem.
I think this may be a first for the FM site.

Actually not very risky at all tbh. Shark diving is pretty safe overall. Sharks are actually very gentle creatures. The reason we have to use cages is because of the depths of Guadalupe Island. It is over 1500 feet deep. With sharks you want to be able to see them and keep them in view at all times.
For example, tiger sharks are more aggressive then Great Whites but never had a problem diving with them. You just have to be situationally aware.
What is funny about that is that I have seen sea lions toy with the GWS. They are faster and more nibble. Sea lions can turn on a dime. Think of a GWS as a big rig. They aren't able to turn as fast. Also, sharks only eat when they are actually hungry.
