I am coming from a 1Dx, so got spoiled with 1400-1600 shots per charge.
Looking at the R3 specifications - and yes, I read somewhere that some users are able to actually going way above the 760 shots in lcd, how many batteries is indeed current owners having?
- my concern is for vacations where I will off the grid, and not even car charging might be available or powerpack possible
( I am sort of surprised to see that in EVF mode the number of shots is way smaller)
As for the LP-E4N, my understanding was that when used in the 1DX MKII and MKIII, frames rates were capped at 12fps, so the LP-E19 was better with these newer models for max frame rate, probably due to current delivery issues. The R3's max 30fps would likely also be reduced if used with the LP-E4N battery.

Thanks - I am aware of that. Kept one E4N for future" playing" with settings vs burning the regular battery; it can used as backup/last resort.
From what I read, if one is using high fps it will obviously end with a high number of shots per charge.
More casual use, or simply using low fps is my concern - I will have 3 packs, but can hold on to two more as stock seems a bit scarce right now....and who knows how much will improve
