My wife and I took a trip to Kauai to hike and enjoy the island. We have been there several times but this time I brought my Canon 1DX. I normally don't because its a pain in the butt to carry around, but this time I said I wanted some better photos. I am pretty new to landscape. I like my effort but CC is welcomed. As a yearly Hawaii visitor, I'm clearly biased but either way great shots! Kauai is such a great place for hiking. I see a lot of the landscapes are at 16mm...that's been my experience as well on Maui, where my CV 15 sees a lot of use. I'm also biased to the wide cropping...I'm the same way.

Thank you, We enjoy that island very much. We go sometimes multiple times a year. My wife and I got married at the foot of the Seven Sacred Pools in Hana. Love Maui as well!

Been to the Seven Sacred Pools many times...even gotten lucky enough to have the pools open AND no one there to get in the way of pictures a few years ago. Went the "back way" around the island from Wailea and started early. Had it to ourselves for probably 45 minutes.

We need to get back to Kauai soon. Been too long.
That's rare to be there with no one there. That's really why we like Kauai so much. The places I like to go usually are not that busy. To be honest, Maui and Kauai are my favorite Islands by far, but Kauai stands out because of the hiking and laid back nature. My wife wants to retire there.....I have NO objections! Hahaha!
