Good day folks. I took a day trip to Benezette, Pa this past Sunday to see the elks, long drive, only saw one bull with his ladies for about 20 minutes soon after sunrise before they went back into the woods. Very poor light but I am glad at least I managed to get some shots. I know some folks don't see anything elks at all sometimes.
C&C are always welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Lovely set Douglas. With your description I'm glad we skipped that drive. Had you not described the trip one might think you see them all day.

Thank you Morris. From what I read, the elks are more active around sunrise and sunset. When I went last year in Sept., I saw several bulls fighting and over a dozen cows, in very good morning light too. It was still the rutting season then. Like they say, you need to be in the right place, at the right time. Some folks see many, some see just a few or nothing. For me, it's a 4-hour drive each way. I didn't stay for sunset as it was going to rain.
