That is a strange and interesting bug.
The pattern on the wings is repeated in the pattern of the head and the collar around the head. The function of that pattern on the head and collar is a mystery to me. Are those compound eyes on the head? What about the collar? How does this bug work??

Yes it has compound eyes but the structure of the head and wing covers is a mystery to me as well. It looks to me like it is built for extremely high speed travel but it actually moves fairly slowly. They are plant sap suckers
