p.2 #1 · Safe and Sound , Reflections on IDA and Adversity
That was a terrible hit your state took with the storm. So glad that you are safe and sound. Love the images you posted in this set. You have great talent, both in photography and dealing with adversity. Take care.

Birdie,
I always know when I see your name that the images will be awesome. I just saw this thread and am stunned. I can only say a big like for all the replies. They have said it all and powerfully. What a tribute for inspiration and strength.
So thankful you are safe and so inspired by you pluck and insight.

Hi Roberta,
As a fellow survivor, this post is incredibly inspiring. Your photo essay of stunning images expresses the emotion that overwhelm us as we deal with the inconvenience and tragedy for some.
I wish you a speedy return to normalcy and feel for those in much worse shape.
Morris
Thank you Morris. Hope you get your repairs done quickly

We have a Doberman rescue that was 1 year old when we got her. Zora is 8 now and just like one of our family. Wonderful to see that Chester found a great home.
Ricky
Thank you Ricky. Chester has been a blessing and provided some much needed laughter through this

I've been concerned about you since Ida was first predicted to make landfall there. I'm so glad you're safe and that your home was not damaged tremendously. Hurricanes are not fun events. I'm glad those "I" names are being retired. You know, Ike, Ivan, Ida and some others. These are magnificent images, dear lady.
Sue
Thank so very much Sue. Appreciate it and hopefully no more storms this year.

Birdie,
Most importantly, glad you and your family are safe.
My brother in law and sister in law live in the Broadmoor section of NOLA and were headed back yesterday from MS after power was restored. They’re not sure how practical it will be to be home until seeing the impacts in the neighborhood.
What an inspirational post, showing the strength of your spirit.
I hope yours and all the other areas impacted recovery quickly and fully.
Blessings,
George
Hi George. Glad your family has gotten electricity back . Hope no major damage.

Birdie,
I am glad that you, Zach and the dog are doing okay under circumstances. What an ordeal you guys had to go through the hurricane and still have to go through the aftermath of Ida.
Now, those images that you posted are truly wonderful. I love all of them and, TEMV!
