I met Charlie's mom at the neighborhood pool almost 2 years ago. We friended each other on facebook, and when I saw photos of her daughter I was DYING to shoot her! Unfortunately at that time I had just had a baby and then covid happened, so I didn't get the chance until a week ago!
Their entire family are actors/voice actors/models/singers, and they are all amazing. Charlie was great and I even snuck in a few pics of her and her beautiful Mom.
Shot with a Fuji GFX 100s and 110mm. Lit by a flashpoint AD300 with a giant ass umbrella
It is quite obvious, though (especially in 1, 2, & 4) that the girl is purposefully keeping her mouth closed instead of a subtle smile showing a bit of her teeth.
Sorry, it is a pet peeve after almost 2 decades of photographing people and very easy to spot.

Dawn, lovely images of the two ladies. They have your wonderful signature rendition. I see that you are enjoying the new gear, which apparently suits you very well in the studio.
I'd like to agree with g but I like the younger lady's Mona Lisa smirk. However, the young lady's fingers are posed so that they are not graceful. A good set, overall!
In reference to a comment above - Any time a model's mouth is hanging open exposing her teeth, I immediately tune out. So trite, and these days almost sexist. Do we ask male models to keep their mouth open for the photo? A nice smile is a different story, but just keeping the lips open? These are very nice and tastefully done.

You mean, "smiling", right, lol
If you tune all of these out, you are missing some *really* incredible photo sets.
In all seriousness, I also don't like an entire set with the "cut and paste" smile on each one. What I am referring to here is that she appears to be *purposefully* keeping her mouth shut (I am thinking braces here).
If the session included varied expressions, some with big smiles, some with subtle smiles with a bit of teeth showing, some somber, etc... I am sure it would be an amazing set.
I do get some variety, though I don't always share it!
I do see the wrinkled chin which makes it appear that she's trying to keep her mouth closed. It almost looks a bit lumpy, and in the future I'll be mindful of it, though I do like the "suppressed smirk" look!
