Once one is immersed into the world of Nature Photography generally there are certain experiences that rank higher than others. This is one of those times for me. The images are not lit well and may not be as good as I would have liked technically but the experience is one of my most memorable in over a decade of shooting wildlife.
I sorted through 7 minutes of shooting to get this set. That is how long the sequence lasted. Quite an adrenaline rush for me to say the least.
Hope you enjoy these as much as I did capturing them.

Thanks Tangledlines! In the few times I have photographed Loons I have noticed that you may see them dive 40 yards away
and then pop up right by my kayak.

Thank you Morris! This pair of birds seemed to be used to my presence. When the bird surfaced with the fish I was shooting with the 600 F4....fortunately I had that gem of a lens the 300 PF on a D500 also so I quickly grabbed that setup and started shooting. When I looked at the EXIF I had shot this sequence for 7 minutes......unbelievable!
