Amazed at how close I was able to get to the action. I tied up to a fallen branch and was maybe 30 feet away.

What an excellent sequence, Jon! The angle of view is unique. The osprey actually went for a bath then rather than trying to catch a fish? The last image is superb.

It was a young Osprey, it attempted and missed several times, it would then fly out of the water, land on anything nearby, and shake off once standing.

anyone who has tried to photograph these shiny "jpeggy" birds knows how good these images are.

to get some good texture and detail is not easy. well done.
