During the last week of April, I spent a few days in Yosemite. It is hard to believe what the forest service has done to the park. I agree that the dead trees need to be removed, but they have gone way beyond that. There are downed trees all over the valley many in locations where they have clear cut. It is obvious they didn't consult with any photographers.
For me, the main attraction this time of year is the Dogwoods. Here is a couple I found along the Merced River.
Beautiful images worthy as wall hangers. You must have gone to some effort to get into position in getting the perfect angle for these. How did you cope with a slow shutter and the effect of wind on the flowers and leaves? I would love to see your EXIF data on these if you can share same.

They even have different cabinet officers.
You can obtain info about why they cut the trees if you want to contact them.
Ooooo I really like the second one. The water has really nice colors and is blurred nicely. It's like a water color in the background and a photo in the foreground
