Yes you have a whole set of sweet images, I'm after all these years waiting for a shot of one that is not on a stupid phone wire
Lovely light Geoff, great shots with some nice space/environment too.

A delight to view Geoff. Super backgrounds, some real nice behavior including a food exchange. Better than an eagles nest?
Morris
Different than an eagles nest but both are fun in their own ways and both require a lot of sitting around with nothing going on to catch the brief moments of action. This Kestrel area will pick up late May if/when the little ones hatch.

Haven't posted too much lately but when I do come here, the first place I come to is Nature and Wildlife, and any posts by you Geoff. Colors on these are superb.
These are amazing looking. I would be so glad to just be able to see one of these out in the wild, but at least I know what to look for.
What did you find were the biggest improvements on when going from the A9 or A9II to the A1 ?

Stunning shots. Good to see that the 200-600 is up to the job (on an a1). So clean on high ISO shots
Absolutely incredible skills of BIF ! I think Arbitrage (Geoff) could utilize my old D90 and produce tack-sharp masterpieces,as it doesn't seem to matter what camera is in his hands ! Amazing images.
Geoff you sure have that new camera humming. These are beautiful images, a wonderful 3D look with exquisite lighting and backgrounds. Just superb shots of a gorgeous raptor. Boy it's hard to believe you could get better backgrounds with your 600 F4 compared to these.
Superb, is what came to my mind, Geoff! I am impressed and envious at the same time . Up to this point, I have been only able to photograph a few female kestrels up close and you got them both in a single image when the male showed up with a lizard. They earn MV!
Nice series Arbitrage, they really gave you lots of killer opportunities.
I hope I am not ruining your party but the 200-600 +1.4 extender took all the fine details away, they look a tad soft. I suspect you didn't wanted to carry the 600 today
