1/2 or 1/4 would be a good addition to get less effect.
The effect is very strong, but it works for the second and fourth shots, both of which I like a lot. And it doesn't really harm the first and may even enhance what would otherwise be a dull image. The third shot suffers from it though.

One issue I had with my K&F was that it wouldn't work with certain bayonet-style lens hoods on my M-mount lenses but other than that, they were mostly fine.
The filters (as in the metal frame) were too thick and protruded out the side.

Unfortunately it's not the same FL but after being so-so on the BPM from Haida I purchased a Glimmer Glass 1 from Tiffen. Can you guess which is which? I also purchased a Black Satin 1 from Tiffen. Have yet to determine which filter can live on my new non interchangeable lens camera permanently.

Anybody using Red Enhancer filters (e.g. RA-54)? I mean for artistic goals, not to remove sodium illumination. it is worth, or one get the same effects in post?

Anyone tried glimmerglass? I prefer the output compared to the BPM as the shadow detail is retained and doesn't lose contrast. It's the main filter over all my glass

Yes, I've tried Glimmerglass 1 as well as Black Satin 1 and I keep coming back to BPM 1/8. Between the three I can't really make out a difference in terms of blooming or contrast except for the Black Satin 1, which is noticeably softer than the other two. I haven't done A-B test tough so take that for what it's worth.

I started shooting film again earlier this year after a 20+ year break, and picked up some film-era effect filters just for the fun of it. I got a Harrison fog filter for atmosphere, a spectra filter for rainbow effects around point sources of light, and a star filter. The star filter is a bit over-the-top compared with real sunstars on lenses that produce them, but I like the other filters. Some people use diffusion filters on film as well; I might give it a try.
Here's the spectra filter (on digital); I haven't used it yet on film but am planning to next week. I bought some Cinestill 400D film, which has strong halation around light sources, and the spectra filter might make that effect even more surreal!

As mentioned in the CV 75/1.5 thread I have the Haida Nano Pro Mist Black 1/4. Meant to get Tiffen, but didn't read the eBay ad carefully enough, so it's my own fault. Very pleased with it though and it was quite a bit cheaper than Tiffen. Can't really describe the effect except that it does give a more gentle look, has some highlight blooming and can give quite a bit of veiling flare, which I like.
Btw. I haven't noticed any black spots in my photos or the filter itself.
Some comparison examples (copied from the CV 75 thread)):
All taken with CV 75/1.5. Bare lens first, then with the filter.
Thanks for posting this information Helena as it was your images on the CV 75/1.5 thread (the same ones you shared here) that prompted me to purchase this lens. Up until now I hadn't been able to achieve the type of IQ as in your captures and I was becoming frustrated with my efforts. The Haida Nano Pro Mist Black 1/4 is now being ordered. Take care!

Awhile back I got a Harrison fog filter and I've been experimenting with it on film. Here it is on the Canon 35/1.8 LTM, on a Canon P rangefinder camera, Ilford XP2 400:
