Am I the only desperate to see a long burst of tack sharp photos? I know it's a pain to upload a high number of raw files, but I would love to see it. It might make me click the order button sooner
There are plenty demonstrations of tack sharp bursts posted around the web.

I'm not a bird photographer but I came upon this little fellow while on a walk with my son. Unfortunately, by the time we ran home, grabbed the camera, and returned, the hummingbird had left the nest. So, we decided to wait around for 10-15 minutes, and it paid off!
Difficult light to work in, but it was definitely fun. I'm not exactly sure which species this is, but Anna's Hummingbirds is a local species, so that's my best guess.
Edit: Just realized I oversharpened. Also wanted to note that Bird Eye AF worked very well, even when the subject was flying in and out of the tree limbs. It didn't work 100% of the time, but close to 80% of the time the bird was in frame. ...Show more →

I did save a couple bufflehead IF bursts...normally I would have just culled out a few favs but I thought people would be asking. I will try and get some sort of a post together to show the sequence.

This is 37 frames, no skipped frames, shot in APS-C mode at either 20 or 30FPS (can't remember) and these are the full frame images.
Wonderful sequence, Geoff! What AF-Area did you use for that sequence? Zone-AF? I don’t feel bad since I also let the target drift towards the edge from time to time. And great that you regained composure and brought it back further in. Is the eye in perfect focus in all of them? Did you assign a custom button to trigger the BE-AF? If you do that, the entire screen will become the Focus Area. I will try that tomorrow morning .
One thing I'm loving about the workflow using CFE-A cards is I don't bother using aps-c at all anymore, I just rip away in FF which makes tracking/panning and finding the target so much easier for me. So freaking happy with this camera except the EVF thing, but we'll get that worked out.

Yes, IMHO they are all tack sharp on the catchlight in the eye when viewed at 1:1 in LR.
I was in Zone (non-tracking). Tracking Sensitivity Default of 3.
I have not assigned a dedicated Eye-AF button. I have it active most of the time but I've found a few times over the last 3 days of shooting where I need to turn it off to get my shot...mostly with clutter around or when it is acting funny....I'll save that for another thread.
