I got a couple suction cup mounts and made a "broomstick boom" to get this shot with my Nikon J5 that I haven't used in forever (just in case something in my setup failed). I was happy with the result considering how much everything was bouncing around.

God I love rig shots. Back 15 years ago or so it was all the rage to do this through the Lowry tunnel here in Minneapolis or through parks.

I'd be interested in seeing your broomstick setup!

Neat shot. I would also like to see your rig setup.

squirrelchew and akaMcBain I apologize for the delay on this...the weather here has been horrible. There was finally some nice weather this weekend. Here are some photos of the setup. It's a ~6" suction cup mounted to the windshield, and a superclamp connected to the suction cup via a stud. That superclamp holds the car end of the broomstick, then on the camera end of the broomstick is another superclamp with a small ballhead and mount. (I used some tape and creative rigging on the day I actually took the image, but two suction cups with a superclamp on each would have been safer and more stable). I ended up driving about 2mph in a parking lot to get the shot.

That is clever! Thanks for pictures and explanation of the rig. Your original shot certainly gives the impression of speed way beyond a low speed pass in a parking lot. Well done.

BTW - The S2000 is a great looking car.

Those red brake calipers look sick with the wheel motion blur!
