Several years ago , I stumbled across some hunters training their dogs in the Bonne Carre Spillway. I asked if they minded if I tried to get some shots. It was a lot of fun and very interesting to see the relationship between man and dog.
I had so much fun doing it, I went out for several days and asked several groups to let me take pictures.
Your suggestions and comments are most appreciated.
Just wonderful compositions Roberta!! My love for these creatures knows no bounds! Sharp, beautiful look into attention and intensity!!!! They live to serve and love!
Dan
Excellent images, Birdie! I love a lot of them and my favorites are #2, #5, #7. What is the background in #2? Are those smoke stacks? The 3D effect in #5 is just awesome.

Thanks so much Joshua. Those stacks are from the Shell Norco Manufacturing Complex. It is the largest petrochemical facility in the US.

nice ones Roberta.. looks like most of these dogs are wearing shock collars
Unfortunately some were. However, there was one trainer who did not believe in the shock collars which was so nice to witness and see. His training was kind and gentle based on verbal only . When he wanted a dogs attention, he would just go "Hey, Hey .
