The camera shops are only catching first time buyers .Then once they realise the huge cost of lenses etc. they are shopping around and realising just how much of a rip off store front charges are . When bodies are easily $ 500 bucks cheaper why would anyone buy retail . I can't believe G&V ever sell a camera at there mark ups .
I noticed the other day that DD just from ebay sales alone is around the 1500 mark .Less than two months ago it was under a 1000 . And thats just ebay. The guy is on the phone 6 days a week with peeps dropping in and buying direct . He's making a killing .And is plenty helpful also .

Yup. That is why I buy my stuff from DD when Canon Australia won't match the price - I know Glenn's service is as good, and I save money!
I feel sorry for my photo pro supplier, who often cannot match the price because his cost price is higher than what I am paying for the item! I tell him every time to pass that message on to Canon, to tell them that they are losing a sale because of their mark-up, nothing else... finally they might be getting the message!

Hallelueha ! ISO in the view finder . Why oh why didn't Canon do that from the beginning on all models ! Seems like such a no brainer .I've programmed myself to check ISO before i shoot but its still something so easily overlooked only to be discovered after the fact . Anyhoo ....

Hopefully . It would be nice to walk into an actual store .Hold it in your hand and test it before buying it Revolutionary i know .. but hey it just might catch on if CAnon and Nikon pull there greedy fingers out .

Chris Low and I were planning a shoot, but the rider got sick, so we will have to wait a bit longer.
