yes these are all taken with my new Holga

The one you gave me has flash (120S) but no BULB setting and tripod mount;

this one (120N) has BULB setting and a tripod mount but no flash (got this one for my birthday )

I may buy a 120FN with my own money... that's the one with flash, B, tripod mount...

But before i do that, i will work with 2 bodies

Teon, is that Dun Rossil Drive in Canberra near the Government House?? it's a beauty

Sure is - well spotted

Unfortunatly I took the photo about two weeks late - most of the leaves have fallen already

But I will be back next year to take the same shot, but at a better time of year and a better time of day

I love all the photos you just posted - the first one in particular is very good!

I also tend to miss my autumns every year since I started photographing...

Well while I am in the mood for posting photos, I took this one today. Just testing out a new (for me) technique of filtering the flash colour to get interesting results.

You get a much better feel for the lighting in the large size.

Please let me know what you think - I'm always egar for advice!

Not a portraitist, like Ed L, myself, I just feel that the highlight on the girl's chest is competing with her face (which I suppose is the subject...)

Otherwise I think you are on the right track.

(btw, I am commenting without knowing what you mean by filtering the flash colour)

I'll 2nd that.. just a tad lack of shadows.. doesn't help with a light coloured jumper... but I must try that trick...

Is this done by using colour gels on the flash Anyway it is good to see you trying different things I tend to get in a bit of a rut myself

Here is one from a Whitlams concert

Yes, that is exactly right - I used this. Each sample sheet is exactly the right size to fit over the flash-head.

I really like the B/W conversion in your concert photo - although the face is maybe a tiny bit too bright for my tastes (but only a tiny bit )

The frog looks very cool also - I love the way they always look like they are about to fall off!

I like the look you got Teon.

Chris: I have to agree with Teon, I find the face over exposed.

I have been shooting the past couple of days... some more MTB stuff.
