Nice shots of the F1 Chris . Good job on making the fence dissappear . I swear they must raise the height of it every year .Did you do any of the pit walk stuff ? The shot of the medals around the neck is cool too .Has a magazine cover look to it .
Bigpurple one i like the guy with the gretch shot .Type of shot that would look cool if he was doing the same pose out in a smokey back alley with the old neon sign " Eat at Joes " in the background .

Thanks. Even at the top of the stands the fence was in the way, so I just shot from ground level as it was easier to deal with the obstruction. I didn't go to the pits as I assume that costs extra?
These guys were surfing inside the breakwall of Newcastle Harbour.
The helmet is a good idea as the waves break right next the rocks.

The last couple of times that i have been a pit walk on the saturday morning at around 7.00am ( YIKES !! ) was part of the grandstand ticket package . When i say pit walk i should say track walk as they only let ya walk down the track side of the pit lane . Better than nothing i guess but i actually found the best time to get some pit garage shots was about an hour after the race finished and the crowds have started going home .
I'd love to do the race from the paddock club side of the fence .They get half a dozen pit walks at various times of the weekend and all the rest . Not sure how to get tix for that though . The price is probably insane .
