the Epson is doing its job, but it gets quite dusty sometimes, with or without ICE, how do you get dust off the scanning glass

I wipe mine with a microfibre cloth, then use a blower on both the glass and the film.

Everyone please read this article.

http://www.smh.com.au/news/technology/not-a-pretty-picture-in-this-legal-minefield/2005/08/29/1125302510946.html

The Department of Justice in Australia is considering some clandestine laws to prohibit photographers (even mums and dads type photographers) from posting otherwise innocent photos of children (even their own children) on the internet as there is a fear that some pedophile might link the image to their site. I argue that this is ridiculous. There are hundreds of thousands of people who would take family shots, beach shots, holiday shots to share with others in a completely innocent manner. Just because some 'sicko' wants to link these innocent images to their site should not mean that the original photographer has commited a crime.

Trying to ban thousands of otherwise normal photos just to try to stop a few twisted individuals is not an appropriate remedy to the problem.

Please fight the progress of such ridiculous laws and write to : -

Submissions on the discussion paper should be forwarded by October 14 to Director, Civil Law Policy, Department of Justice, Level 4, 55 St Andrews Place, Melbourne, VIC 3002.

As I am sure for all of us well meaning photographers this would be a major injustice on our art.

That's exactly what I do. There is a brand of blower called Hurricane - they are better than the others that I have tried fwiw, & not too hard to find.

"This is not just about children. It's about the individual's privacy, and the extent to which all and sundry should be able to take photos and make them available for eternity on the internet."

Don't get me started Unbelievable. More of this attitude that you can be safer just by building bigger walls around your society... don't get me started

Thanks for the link. Interesting reading indeed.
