hey mozzman... the track surface there is still shit house..... i've done plenty of ride days there and it's crappy as hell but yes a very fun track so much more fun than boring old eastern creek,,,, not long to go and the poor place will be no more.... bloody housing development......
I thought it was a done deal that Oran Park is turning into a housing development? There's nothing out that way anyway.. why would you live so far away from the nearest shop/facilities?
the car shot where taken with 70-200
1st 1/160th f16 iso 200 @ 200mm
2nd 1/125th f16 iso 200 @ 150mm
zoo shot's..
lion 1/100 f 3.2 iso 400 @175mm
meerkat.. 1/200 f5.6 iso 400 @ 330mm 70-200 with 2x tele
so your answewr to is 400mm enough i'd say yes for most places plus these where on a 1.6 body so that helps.....
and oran park is already set to close it's doors so 90.000 homes can built in that area in the near future.....
hey chris_s will have to catch up at oran should be a fun day with a few of us out there....
I just checked my calendar and the All Ford day is also 31st July at Warrick Farm Racecourse. About 1000 Fords from the classics to the modern stuff will be on display.
That is the same day as the Zoo trip so I may have to leave around lunch to make both events.
OK Stop press I have been asked to cover some of the events at this years Coca Cola Wild Winter weekend July 29-31st so as this is a paying gig I'll be busy for the Zoo trip.
BUT I should be able to post some cracker images afterwards.
Good stuff Maurie... I want to go down for the snow season (to take photos)... I love the snow.. but just can't afford the jacked up prices in accomodation even in Jindy...
in other breaking news, it looks like Canon are going to release a new set of printers in the nearish future... they've already anounced a new type of ink.
"Smelly" , When do you want to come down here as there is a spare spot on the couch in front of the fire.
We'll be away in Sydney from the 3rd to the 5th of August. But after that dependant on Anne's dramas. We could organise a backcountry treck for photo's after that.
You know.. I think we should all go down during summer for a spot of trout fishing and photography too. I've never been down during summer or spring when things start to blossom.
I have heard about that one happening in summer... not nice... but it'd just be blowy.... I remember going to Talbingo and the lake that's right there looked great for a spot of fishing and to breathe in fresh air.
When is the best time to head down there and things start blooming? Oct when the snow has almost melted?
