Fantastic set Hobbes ! Glad you made it to the park in the Fall. Really like the low level shots. It's almost as if you were standing in the river. Congrats on a great set and thanks for posting these images.
Greg
Thanks Greg. Actually... I was standing in the river

Outstanding. 1, 8 and 35 are my favorites. The bear laying on and protecting his happy meal is funny (well, not if you are an elk or in this case a hungry wolf ).
I can only imagine what a exceptional experience that must have been.
Thanks for sharing it.
Woody
Thanks Woody. Many times when the bear was sleeping, it was very slow. But how often (never) does one get the chance to see that. And the prospect of what might happen kept me lurking.

Excellent images, documenting the behavior of the bear. I love #22 NS #35 out of the series.
Joshua
Thanks Joshua. It was interesting to see the grizzlies bury the carcass, dig it up when they wanted to eat, and then bury it again. 791 excavated the entire embankment to bury it the first time.

These are some great shots, the wolf's look is piercing.
Thanks. That wolf first appeared moving behind the logs in the background. When looked over the log to give 791 the once over and then started walking forward, the air was electric. It was also getting dark so I was concerned about being able to get shots of whatever was going to happen.

Pretty amazing!!....happy you were able to get out for a little bit and then had an epic encounter....with luck 2021 should be much better for all of us.
Eric
Thanks Eric. Those bears are big and fat but boy can they move fast when they want to. In the blink of an eye 881 suddenly charged down the embankment and was in the river yelling at 791. That sound of two wild grizzlies growling and yelling at each other from such relatively close range is burned into my brain.
Here's hoping for a more enjoyable 2021 for all of us!

Wow, wow and holy hell WOW! What a fantastic series and an amazing experience. Congrats!
I would have thought I had died and went to heaven to have witnessed this interaction between these magnificent apex predator's.
Too many fantastic shots to pick. There are some great captions you could add to some of these.
#12 - "From the size of your ass I think you could share some of that Elk bro."
#29 - "Elk? What elk? There isn't any elk around here. What makes you think there is?"
#33 - "You thinking about trying your luck punk? Yeah, I didn't think you were."

Thanks Dave. When the wolf came down to drink from the river while eyeballing 791 the entire time, and then started to walk toward the grizzly, I was beside myself. Then when actually walked close and around the bear, and then momentarily stood there next to 791 under the elk's antlers, I thought I was going to have a heart attack.
