1-3 and 10 are outstanding images Geoff. As always your work is top notch and all of these are excellent. The lighting of the first and the background of the second are what we dream about.
Wow these are fantastic. Here in the midwest I never see a shortie with a blue sky background, they always come out about 20 minutes before 12,000 ISO. Superb as always
I find these photos depressing and demoralizing but in a really good way. Really top quality shots. I can not count how many hours I have spent in the cold waiting to get shots like this of these 3 species in NY. But they are extremely shy and hardly ever come close enough for high quality work. You could maybe come away with one or two shots like you have posted in a season if you went multiple times a week for the whole season. To get them in a day is just crazy. Congrats and enjoy it while you can.

Breath taking Geoff. These are wonderful. Just beautiful lighting, and sharp.
Doesn't matter what camera you use. I love the great perspective in 19 and 22 they seem to be right at eye level. Christmas sure came early for you.
Dave
Thanks Dave

Hi, Geoff,
For the flying shots captured using the R5, how many of them have Animal Eye AF activated? The eyes look very sharp in almost all of the shots.
Thanks!
Thanks. I shot some in Tracking/Eye-AF and some in Zone. For those shot in Tracking I sometimes saw it narrow down all the way to the eye but usually just the head. I can't recall which images were shot in which mode or which had it narrow down to the eye.

Really well done, and close?? I mean hitting some of those with the 100-500 and no TC?
Thanks...yes many times they will fly right around you maybe 30 feet away.
