This was done as a collaboration of 5 photographers, where each could create his/her own lighting setup and we would rotate from one setup to the other. It was not my setup and but I did like the model at this setup. There were 5 lighting setups at different areas of the studio. And the cowgirl at my setup utilizing a saddle as a prop was actually great, too but this particular model was something else.
Yes, the original set was in color and my main reason for converting it was to B&W was the presence of a pretty prominent pinkish-magenta colors on her face and her body.
Thank you for stopping by and please, feel free to leave any feedback,
Joshua
The name 'cowgirl' doesn't quite seem appropriate for this very attractive 'country gal'
Those are some appealing eyes Joshua and I will say, image #1 and #2 are just excellent IMO and #3 is very easy to like. I think the B&W conversions are wonderful, I like the lack of any pushed highlights and toning is wonderful as is the modeling of the light, good eye my friend, great choice on model and a flattering presentation!

You are absolutely correct, Karl. I agree the title in not quite appropriate. The reason was the other folks at the studio started calling the session as having a cowgirl theme and some how that name got stuck in me . I will change the name as you suggested.
Thank you for the title suggestion and for your kind words, Karl! Yes, that model was lovely and I wanted to setup an additional shooting with her but she left the studio fairly while I was shooting at different setups.
Excellent series with pose, lighting, composition and eye contact. The only thing that personally give me pause is the third image. It's not major, but the lighting shows her face as a bit asymmetrical. The left cheek looks swollen (I know it's not) and right right cheek looks a lot more flat. Maybe minimize the cheek shadow a bit or add some dimension on the right cheek?? Still a nice, strong, well-executed series! Again, this is a personal observation.
