I probably wouldn't use the wipes in your link, as they look pretty wet (i.e. lots of fluid soaked into them). When you use a 'wet' lens wipe, it's not uncommon for some liquid to leak under the edge of the front element. This is particularly annoying when it re-appears on the underside of the front element; it looks like delamination, and you can't clean it unless you open up the lens.

In general, wipes should be safe; provided they're (i) not too wet, (ii) not abrasive, and (iii) you don't pick up a piece of something that scratches the glass. Also, it helps to know what liquid is on pre-wetted wipes, which is not the case here.

Anyway, I use PecPad (non abrasive) dry wipes, with Eclipse cleaning fluid. Sometimes, I use ROR fluid, for particularly tough marks (e.g. residue from dried water spots). I prefer to use just enough fluid (a drop or two on a wipe), to remove a mark, with light wiping. I sometimes repeat this multiple times (with minimal-wetting) for tough spots.

+1 everything jcolwell said!

I do use microfibre cloths with eyeglass cleaner (after blowing with a bulb blower). I spray a bit of eyeglass cleaner on the cloth -- never the lens.

If you use them I suggest using ones that are only moist vs wet. Zeiss are the ones I keep around. JMTC

I’m fond of the Zeiss wipes too - for my lenses, glasses, phone, tablet etc.
Used to buy them in big boxes from Sam’s but last time I was there they only had an off brand - too moist for lenses but OK for other uses. Of course if you waft them around for a few minutes they dry out a bit and are OK for lenses. Requires to much patience though.

I use Target's "up&up" lens wipes. They are microfiber, not paper, and moist, not wet, 60ct/$3.19.

I also like the Zeiss lens wipes.

Get them from Amazon - 200 for $16.

Zeiss Lens Wipes

I keep the box in a kitchen cabinet for easy access - I use them for eye glasses and lenses.

I have also found the ROR and Kimwipes (by Kimtech) work great too.

A few years ago I hit a sale on Zeixs wipes and bought like 1600. Right now I am down to 2 boxes of 200.

Thank you - super helpful! I was just looking at the Zeiss myself for the first time, but now I’m convinced. (I suppose if someone had already bought a case of the wetter wipes, they could just clean the lens by holding it up so that the lens faces down? Gravity could, in theory, help pull the fluid away from the lens? Er, maybe?)

Probably not. Gravity is a good friend of mine (helps to keep stuff where I put it), but surface tension and viscosity will creep some of that fluid in there, anyway. You could squeeze extra fluid onto a dry wipe, and use that, but it seems kind of indirect.
