Wonderful early morning conditions along rt. 58 east of Mojave, CA. I was driving along at a good rate heading home from a 10 day journey to New Mexico. I started noticing the skies and nice diffused light and pulled off on a dirt road where I then just walked out into the open desert. Everything seemed so natural with nearly no signs of man. Earth and sky were communicating freely, and I captured this image handheld with a wide angle lens (13mm equivalent). So I got home a little later than planned, didn't mind at all.....
