Except that, the 400/5.6 will do 600 on D500
Also it will be as light weight as 300/4 PF?

Actually a 400/5.6 is in the patent along with the 600/5.6 and the 500/5.6. The 400/4 is not in a known patent. However, I feel my 300PF with 1.4 TC performs so well that I’d never consider a 400/5.6 myself.

see the specs in first post. Also links:
400 f4E FL = 22cm TL 100mm window; 600 f5.6E FL = 33cm TL 107mm window, which could weigh <2kg.
Perhaps a 400 f4 PF will weigh less than the 1.46kg 500 f5.6 PF

Canon made two 400/4 DO's the weight of the first was 1940g and the second 2100g. A Nikon PF 400/4 is likely to have similar weight to the second Canon version assuming that they aim for high quality.

I don't see how the weight of a 400/4 PF could ever undercut the 500/5.6 PF. The 400/4 has a 100mm front element. And as mentioned above, Canon's two attempts were around the 2kg mark. I don't think Nikon's will be drastically lighter.
