Thank you very much for your kind words. I didn't soften the foreground, it was basically tall grass there but the fox stuck out high enough for me to get the head sharp. BTW, I shot through a chainlink fence, too. A shooting buddy of mine, and he was shooting to my right, had an Olympus m 4/3 camera with a 300mm lens and his images are very similar in terms of softness, colors and overall look.
