I have shot at 2nd beach several times and never had a frantic puking time doing photography. I guess I was lucky to get a couple of hours late in the afternoon past sunset with outstanding photographic opportunities and relaxed shooting. Anyway it seems your struggle paid off.

When I visit the coast, I usually spend a week straight there. The midday hours can get a little boring waiting for the evening, so when the light starts getting better, I tend to go a bit crazy with my photos.

Just curious. Do you camp on the beach or walk in and out every day? Stumbling out in the utter dark can be a nuisance but I typically stay at Mora.

I camp at Mora or try to sleep in my truck parked somewhere. For some reason, I can't sleep well on the beach. The energy of the ocean keeps me up. Many times I will actually stay up all night on the beach and then drive into the rainforest to sleep during the day.
Other people hate traveling with me to take photos. I treat it more like a Navy Seals special ops mission than a vacation.
Very very nice. Congratulations. Is the location name actually "Blue Lagoon" or is that your title for the photo? Checked out your website. You have a fantastic gallery.

It's the title. The beach is well-known as no secret. It's called Second Beach in Olympic National Park.
