Thank you, Sunny! You were supposed to lead a workshop in Bhutan this year? I am so jealous! I wish I can afford to return to Bhutan - it’s one of the more expensive travel destinations.

Bobby,
Awesome set! Bhutan is just magical. canceling my workshops here for 2020 was probably the saddest thing.
Great photographic work as usual, Bobby. Looked yesterday and am still savouring all the beauty. One question, was the young lady in the very first pic a guide? Is there significance to what she is wearing. All the colors are amazing but especially those of the clothes. Any chance you know if they are locally woven or the fiber content - just curious.

Thanks for posting!!

Thanks Bill! That young lady (Rinzin) was our "model" for the day. We borrowed her from a hotel (she was a training Receptionist) as we wanted a local girl dressed in a traditional Bhutanese costume for our photo shoot just for that day. A few more shots of Rinzin ... and our sherpa/guide in the 3rd photo.
No one had asked me about image #16. A group of school kids had uprooted these marijuana plants and they would take them to a burning site as part of their education about the hazards of marijuana addiction.
Bobby, I am kicking myself for not having seen these gems earlier. These are so lovely. Reminds me of my 1 month hiking trip in Sikkim and Nepal after I finished my undergrad. Would love to go there again one of these days.
Congrats on your usual high quality well thought out shots.
Thank you very much, KD! Bhutan would definitely classify as an exotic destination - more so than Nepal or Tibet I would say - because of their “High Value, Low Impact" tourism policy. You have to pay a daily fee and book through one of their licensed tour operators in Bhutan - and a guide and 4WD with driver will be supplied to you. So it's not cheap to visit Bhutan. It is a magical place though, and the Tiger's Nest Monastery built on the side of a mountain at 10,000 feet is quite surreal.
