Ageo, I just saw these for the first time as the 1st picture randomly posted on the FM homepage. These are spectacular!!!! The only word I can find for that first shot is "otherwordly"! It is as if you stepped ever so far back in time. The lighting and exposure are exquisite!. My dream is to capture other cultures in the manner and beauty of which you have accomplished. I am in awe!

Respectfully,

Chas, I truly appreciate your kind words and I am glad you like the images there. Frankly, I got lucky with the first image as most of the smoke drifted to the back of the dance and as such, it gave me a clear view of the dancer.
What impresses me about Bali Dancers is the expressiveness of the extremities. Denoted in the hands and feet of the dancers as well as the countenance of their faces.
For the life of me I haven't figured out the meaning. But non the less this is a good set of images. Job well done.....

I've photographed at the set location of #1, #3, and #5. What is the location of #6? I have not visited that site. Dancing on those falls is intriguing. I would love to shoot there.
You bring back good memories pre-COVID. When the pandemic is over. I am going back to Bali.

Thank you for your kind words! Yes, that’s true, especially certain dances, like legong.
I am not quite sure where the location of #6 to be honest, but a local guide with intimate knowledge of Bali should be able to tell you. BTW, it is not a natural waterfall. It was designed more as an overspill feature of a dam further up.
