p.1 #1 · Yosemite Falls Reflected in a Flooded Meadow
Being the dad of 2 toddlers and a new one born in December, I don't get too much time to get out and take photographs much anymore. I really hope to be dedicating more time to it soon, but I love the family time too, so I'm not really bummed.
Anyways, I got out one morning on our annual vacation to Yosemite (Which is a week long for us) last year and was out from about 6am-10am. I snagged this one around 8-9am I think and it's one of my favorites from the valley.
This one was frustrating to get the water still, to say the least. Dogs jumping in, ducks flying in and out, leaves falling in front, wind picking up...you name it, it happened (Except for photographer falling in, thankfully). Took me 30 minutes just to get the water still so I could capture this in a single image.
Super bummed because I don't think California will re-open in June in time for our annual trip. Might have to settle for later in the year this year...

Great water, nice work on your patience. Sky seems oddly cyan toned, as though overcooked on dehaze.
Thank you, and not sure. I didn't really want a crazy dark blue like polarizers can give. But you might be right on it being a tad too Cyan. To be honest, this photograph didn't take much work in post, so I doubt I messed with the colors much.

Rare scene and a beautiful shot ... but I would crop off the bottom 1/3 so the waterline is not dead center.
I've played with the crop many times before, but I really enjoy the closed frame with the trees/branches and couldn't bring myself to compress it/perspective warp it. I appreciate the suggestion though.
