You may have seen me do that about a month ago. AF is slow yet accurate and I even did BIF. Totally amazing! It's now a setup I would use all the time yet great to have.

Does AF still work with the 2x TC? For me it was hit and miss, so I gave in and started manual focusing. With the focus peaking it was fairly easy and quick. Works on large mammals not sure if manual focus will work for BIF with the 600mm prime + 2X TC..

The closeup of the Buffalo shows a lot of expression in such a small area. Great shot! The composition of the two bear shots is fantastic. Sorry your plans were cancelled but thanks for posting these photos!
