Outstanding and great processing - very nice touch!
How difficult was it to get that shot without people in it? I understand Arches is overrun these days
0 degrees keeps the masses away here and other hot spots. We had privacy there during cold weather in the past

Beautiful Fred, very nice detail. How do you like your Sigma lens? Did it score higher than others in your tests?
Beautiful location too, and different ways to get lost in the park area. I had 2 incidents which weren't being lost just not being where I thought I was, but happy ends eventually.
It is beautiful and cold here when it snows... which is not often. When it gets down to -10 degrees and stays that way for a week.
Thank you Robert!
The Sigma 14-24/2.8 DN DG is the best ultra wide zoom I've ever had. At its wider range, I don't know any other lens (zoom or prime) performing this good across the image field.
It was definitely a very cold and dark hike back after sunset. It didn't stop dozens of people from being there. (Even kids)

Finally! After much discussion and silence on your part you made it to those places. Now we look forward to some great photos of Canyonlands and other places en route.
BTW, a beautiful photo capture. You also picked a different (and more spectacular angle than the run of the mill photos of this iconic spot)
Loved visiting Arches and Canyonlands. Not sure why it took me so long.
I will post pictures from Canyonlands soon.

A special photo of a special place. Sad about the couple, but many people go places with little awareness of the dangers. They see others have done it and assume anyone can. Quite a few die each year at places like Angel's Landing, the Wave, etc.
Thanks!
Yes, very sad.
During that shoot, I was worried about a couple kids playing around the bowl area. It's steep and slippery with a point of no return.

Amazing capture as always. But of all people, I thought you would have been there several times. Also interested in your rating on Sigma 14-24
Thank you. Yes, I procrastinated because of reports of large crowds at Arches and Canyonlands.
It was a bit insane at Mesa Arch!

BTW: Just get the 14-24/2.8 E-mount. It's superb for landscapes/nightscapes and has a rear ND slot.

Nice.
If there was enough scenery to the right, it would make for a cool 16 x 48" print of canvas running horizontal, too. But this size is plenty good.
Small thing, but the presence of the small puddles is a pleasant accent that may not be there other seasons.

Lovely image! Well seen and executed.
Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate the feedback and comments!
Great image. I have hiked to this point on several occasions. I have seen people doing crazy things and always wondered if anyone fell into the bowl. Sad what people will do. Once again a great image.
