That first shot is really a cool way to show the coloring on the back, you have all the hues and shades showing up just lovely I really like the last one, just a great pose and light in the eye Joshua. I also think that shooting at f/10 was a great choice to enhance more DOF and these look much more natural with more in focus to me.
Great combo with all those MP's and shooting clean @ 600, BG's are perfect and you certainly earned my vote on this set

Thank you very much, Ted! I thought I better answer your burning question first. This was a wild toucan but the image were taken near a feeder. Before the toucan went to get the food, it landed on that branch. It showed up only once and it took only some 30 seconds from the time the toucan landed there and for it to fly away. You will be the judge whether these are setup shots or not.

I have no problem with setup shots. Your shots looked to be setup shots. Same bird, same perch, same back ground.
I have over the years taken many set up shots. All of my setup shots have been in my back yard.
