I had wanted to photograph this waterfall ever since I saw a photo of it here on FM many years ago. This summer, I did a weekend trip to finally go see it. It's roughly 12-hour drive 1 way for me, left Friday night, slept at the rest stop for couple of hours and then got to the location around sunrise.
I was surprised to have the whole place to myself for the 2-3 hours I was there...the water was nice and cold, the canyon in the shade offered respite from the blistering heatwave...I packed up my gear and headed out just as a selfie crowd started coming by to spend time there. and then I drove back 12 hours and was back in LA Saturday night

Is this Mossbrae Falls? If so, I thought it was inaccessible without walking (unauthorized) some distance on railway property. I believe there was some discussion a while back that they (not sure who they are) were going to try and get a new route in. Has that happened, then?
Funny enough, on Saturday I left the house at 3 am and drove 7 hours from Canada to Lower Lewis River falls in Wa state for some photography, then back the same day. Not as far as your trip.....
Went to your website, by the way. Some great images.
