Some friends of ours who are riding teachers and trainers, asked me to create some images of the two of them with their students. They had seen some previous photos I had taken at a large nearby park, which is lovely with fall colors this time of year, and wanted something similar. The weather has been pretty unpredictable around here lately. A few hours before we were to shoot, it was raining. But, as the golden hour came around, we were blessed with a really lovely sunset.
Here are some samples of what we were able to capture:
Good poses, considering you were capturing horses and people together. Great compositions, overall, with good use of the available light and scenery. Your very natural processing suits the images well. Overall, wonderful photos.
I enjoyed these, and the rainbow sky is striking. I feel like they are missing a bit of "3D pop", but I am not sure what needs to be changed to make that happen.
I was back at Eagle Island again last Friday night with a couple more young ladies and their horses. Totally different lighting conditions this time! And these two opted to have riding photos, rather than just standing or walking ones. Always lovely to see such talented riders, and beautiful, graceful horses.
I really like the way the 3rd photo in your second set really captures the musculature of the animal. Would have loved to see the first picture in the second set from the other side of the horse with the sun cast. It is still a beautiful capture however!
