Here is a few more eagles from Alaska. During the workshop we had real diverse weather week giving us everything from skies on fire, to moody fog. You never know what you'll get by the end of the day in Alaska.
The two battle shots are awesome Matt I really like the mood in #3. Beautiful opener shot, those wings are patterning are glorious! Eagle guts and gore and talons have great impact.
wowzer Matt, these are beautiful, if the D5 can get shots like these of the eagles i am beginning to think the high mp of the D850 is over rated, but then it did awesome on the landscape shot

You have not gone to Haines already?
Love the feet.
Love them all.
I will not make it this year.
My best to your family.
Dan, Just getting ready to head there for 3 weeks and 2 workshops. I'm trying to live by my rule, don't shoot a location again until you've worked up everything from the last time you were there, therefore you improve.

Beautiful shots. Those meat hooks look menacing.
They are impressive meat hooks, with 500 PSI of crushing power.

I love the D850 for the perched shots, and ones with lots of detail, and D5 for action for the increase shutter speed at a cost of ISO.
