Just wondering what tour group did you use to get these fantastic pictures?
I went to Costa Rica for hummingbirds and found them beautiful but found the hours sitting at a flash set up boring. Were you able to find these just by walking around? That sound like more fun.
Thanks for taking the time to share.

kd, great shots. Ecuador birding is so compelling. As for the Green Crowned Brilliant, I noticed that you used a slower shutter speed of 1/160 (and motion was effectively freezed), so I'm guessing this was with flash fill-in. Can you comment?
Hi Dalite,
I could not use fill flash for most shots, since I did not carry one. Only time that we used flash was when the tour operator did the multiflash set up. See my comments on page 1 . https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1613459
The green crowned brilliant was taken using the multi synch flash, so the S Speed could get as low as 1/160.
Hope this helps.
