Another clear night means another photo. This time I shot the Wizard Nebula. This one is kinda freaky as you can see the Wizard with his hands out-stretched while he screams.
Shot for 5 hours total and edited in the Hubble Palette.
I've seen a number of your photos posted in these forums. Like this one, they are always remarkable. I find it amazing that a normal (and obviously talented) person with less than $1 million worth of equipment can do this stuff. A lifetime ago I studied physics for way too many years, so I have a fascination with what's going on in these pictures. As a photographer for around 40 years there's no way I'd take up doing it myself. The process is complex, tedious, and could really impact one's sleep. Then there's weather! Maybe if I was 20-something again... Things being what they are, I'm really glad you do this! Made my day. Great work!
