This happens with Leica too!!
True, and it happened to me with my first 50 Lux BC, but all my others have been fine.
But I am zero for two (in a row) for new Voigtlanders priced below $600. Could be just my bad luck, but I think I'm done with Voigtlander for these cheaper models.

Thanks for the test. That's what I saw on my infinity test as well. The 35/1.4 pre-asph with the B+W thin filters only increases vignetting slightly when shooting wide open or close to it. Stopping down, there are no changes. There is no smearing either. I'd say using third filters with the 12504 hood is ok.
Agree, no smearing or effect on sharpness in the corners.
For close-distance at f/1.4, the vignetting the filter does add to the existing "dog ear" vignetting this lens has in the far corners (which is in addition to the larger, more gradual vignette gradient). Correcting the dog ears is a pain since I have to use a radial gradient in addition to the regular vignette correction. Thankfully, I rarely if ever need to remove the vignetting at f/1.4 and close distance – usually it adds to the image.

Reviving the thread a bit. Testing that new CV Voigtlander lens from 2019 nobody knows about, I try to get used to the 35mm focal length, I begin to see the appeal of a wider 50mm sort of.
While the M4-2 was out for service, I bought this lens because it seemed to be the best fit for it. Once I started using it, I sold my other 35mm lenses.
