I love your portraits Ron! The cheek/forehead reflection is distracting for me though. Just my $.02 worth. Otherwise I like the semi isolation of "her good side".

Thanks Dan. I can totally understand the distraction of the reflection. It is a little harsh lighting due to being a bare bulb bounced off of a silver air duct. But for me, I actually like the spectacular highlights being on the cheek. [I guess it is just something different to me as most of mine tend to be on the nose and middle of the forehead.
My lessons learned on this one was that I would have loved to have brought my 38" octabox to have softened that up. I did not take it with me because of the wind conditons and I did not have any sandbags or someone to hold the c-stand.
Again the technical stuff is all on me and I knew those things. My goal was to get her some good images and practice my problem solving skills in the real world environment. So next time, I will be better and making the adjustments and not waste a paying clients time. (This was a group photo walk shoot with many photogs and a few models)

Ron, if you like it, I like it. Not knowing what you had to deal with to produce the image and your "likes", I based my comment solely on my "likes".
Thanks for taking the time to explain. It makes for a more broader view of what interests my peers.

I appreciate these comments. There was a time where I would get defensive about my images, specially the ones I really like. But I understand that you need comments and suggestions to get even better.
I hope that I did a better job of explaining the problems that I had with this image and did not seem defensive. This one an image that I knew from the beginning isn't perfect. Heck I knew it wasn't going to be perfect when I started the night with a bare bulb AD200.
I hope that there are some that will see this and read our conversation, learn from it and go out and make some killer images for themselves.
