Another absolutely fantastic group of images... so cute and emotive.
More people need to see images like these so they are made aware of what this planet is about to lose.

They couldn’t get better than these. Eric, with each iteration of polar bear post you seemingly increase the level of cuteness and quality. And you are saving the best for last, aren’t you? YGMV!
Joshua
Thanks again for the support Joshua....they ooze cuteness and it's hard to take a bad photo of these guys. Not sure if I'll post anymore at this point as they seem to be somewhat redundant...if I come across any I find especially compelling then I will

cheers,

Thanks Bruce...I do wonder why more people aren't drawn to these guys as they are to whales or tigers....the scenes of them attacking seals or walruses probably don't help, but the ones of mom with cubs should make everyone want to keep them around forever. I felt so fortunate to be able to spend even the small amount of time I actually did and capture some images that touched me and hopefully others.
Another gorgeous set Eric !!! While the black and white are lovely, like Morris, I prefer the beautiful pastel colors on these .
Love seeing the tenderness the mom shows around the cubs.
Have to agree with Birdie. The b/w images are great but the color ones are even better! Well done, Eric!

Simple answer ... cost and the freezing temps! I can deal with the cold but not the cost.

I meant emotionally Bobby....certainly there are significant costs involved in viewing tigers and maybe less so whales. But that wasn’t my point. People seem to be drawn to certain species and are willing to support them both financially and politically.
Eric
You sir made my day with these beautiful images. The monochrome ones are extra special.
But also melancholic thinking about the future of these creatures and their environments.
Eric, these are some of the best images I have ever seen! Natl Geo doesn't come close! The intimacy displayed by the mother to her children, the interaction between siblings and mother..just heart warming photography!
You bring these beautiful creatures right into life and I feel better viewing them!

Thanks so much for your kind words. It is difficult not to think of their future when your are in their presence...their survival is intertwined with ours just theirs is much more of a present danger.

Thanks John....I wondered whether I'd ever see a bear in the wild myself....these are the only ones I've ever seen or photographed so you never know.
