Hi Bob, thank you. This was likely a female (I saw her pee). It was cold but she looks pretty healthy, I think they are always hungry?
Great shots and so fortunate to have one so close. The only ones I have seen have been in Yellowstone and it required a 40x spotting scope to view them. In fact before my next trip to YNP I will be taking a spotting scope and a smartphone adapter.
